      Bill Scannell

      Bill Scannell is president of Global Sales & Customer Operations at Dell Technologies, heading an organization of nearly 30,000 sales team members, including Channel, OEM, Global Alliances and Specialty Sales. Bill is responsible for go-to-market (GTM) strategy and driving global growth by delivering Dell Technologies solutions to organizations in established and new markets in 180 countries around the world.

      Prior to this role, Scannell oversaw Global Enterprise Sales & Customer Operations, leading Dell Technologies sales teams to deliver innovative and practical technology solutions to large enterprises and public institutions worldwide. He assumed this role in 2016 after serving as president of Global Sales and Customer Operations at Dell Corporation since 2012. 

      Scannell began his career as an Dell Technologies sales representative in 1986, becoming country manager of Canada in 1988. Shortly thereafter, his responsibilities expanded to include the U.S. and Latin America, and in 1999, he moved to London to oversee Dell Technologies business across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He took over the reins of worldwide sales in 2001. He later oversaw customer operations in the Americas and EMEA. Under Scannell’s leadership, Dell Technologies customer-facing professionals earned distinction as one of the most successful and customer-focused organizations in any industry.

      Scannell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Northeastern University.
