Santiago, Chile - December 06, 2010 -
SONDA, a Latin American leader in IT services with a presence in nine countries, today announced with VCE, the Virtual Computing Environment formed by Cisco and EMC with VMware, that SONDA will be offering new cloud computing services based on VCE's Vblock™ infrastructure platform. SONDA's new cloud services will help customers accelerate their transition to cloud computing by providing IT infrastructure and unified support services that are available to customers as their business demands for IT grow.
Taking advantage of Vblock as the foundation, SONDA will offer public cloud IT services that include servers and virtual desktops, disaster recovery, storage and e-mail. SONDA will also implement and operate private clouds for its customers, enabling them to efficiently deploy highly-secure cloud-based applications for business innovation while eliminating the traditional capital and operating expenses associated with procuring, deploying and maintaining IT.
With this collaboration between SONDA and VCE, customers have access through a trusted partner to the industry's most advanced and proven data center technologies.
"Not all clouds are the same, and for that reason, SONDA has chosen the Vblock architecture for its new offer of cloud computing, as it is an architecture designed specifically for the cloud that meets the levels of security, availability and performance that our customers need," said Sergio Rademacher, business manager of Cloud Computing, SONDA.
"Many companies have already grasped the potential of cloud computing for their businesses to become more responsive and provide unmatched flexibility," said Leon Taiman, general manager for Latin America, VCE. "Collaborating with SONDA, VCE is continuing to minimize the barriers to virtualization and cloud computing."
