Mozy Launches Automated Online Backup Service to Consumers and Small Businesses in the UK

The service has two distinct online cloud backup offerings for consumers and small businesses – MozyHome® and MozyPro®. MozyHome offers online backup for personal home users covering all file types, from family photos to financial documents, with the same military-grade encryption used by online banks during data transfer for £4.99 per month for a single computer. MozyPro offers automated and easily managed multi-user online backup for small offices, homes offices and small businesses through a pay-as-you-go model with no set-up costs. The service provides safe and secure online backup by encrypting all data on customers’ computers using a customer’s own 256-bit personal AES encryption key or Mozy’s 448-bit Blowfish encryption key before it’s sent to a Mozy data centre. The data is then sent to Mozy’s data centres via a secure 128-bit SSL connection, the same encryption used in online banking.
