EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, announced today that it ranked 19th on Corporate Responsibility Magazine's 11th annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens List. This list ranks companies based on their performance in seven categories: Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, Philanthropy, Employee Relations, Financial and Governance. This year, EMC elevated its position on this prestigious list, breaking into the top 20 for the first time in company history.
"Company stakeholders from investors to customers to employees to regulators watch the 100 Best Corporate Citizens List closely, and are using it now more than ever to make important decisions," said Corporate Responsibility Magazine publisher Jay Whitehead. "This year, we saw leading companies, like EMC, focusing on their public reporting and performance, which resulted in the average score of all 100 companies climbing by 19 percent."

Companies are selected from among the large-cap Russell 1000 companies.
