EMC Recognized for Its Corporate Governance Practices
EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced that EMC and its Board of Directors have received numerous recognitions in 2009 for their commitment to good corporate governance.

EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced that EMC and its Board of Directors have received numerous recognitions in 2009 for their commitment to good corporate governance. These honors include:
- Directorship magazine and the National Association of Corporate Directors named Joe Tucci to its 2009 list of the 20 Best CEOs in Corporate Governance in the Fortune 500, which also includes executives from Apple, Microsoft, Amazon.com, Cisco Systems and AT&T.
- Corporate Secretary magazine named EMC its Corporate Governance (Large Cap) Team of the Year, noting that EMC’s directors are among the most open and accessible of any board in the country and actively and intelligently engage shareholders, activists, advisers and regulators to create a highly non-adversarial working relationship.
- Corporate Secretarymagazine also recognized Rachel Lee, EMC’s Senior Corporate Counsel, as a Rising Star for her development and implementation of governance best practices, communications with stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of transparency and understanding, and support of the company’s best-in-class sustainability reporting.
- The Council of Institutional Investors elected Susan Permut, EMC’s Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, to its Board of Directors. She will also serve on CII’s Policies Committee.
