BEDFORD, Mass. - October 23, 2008 -
RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC), recently honored the six winners of its RSA SecurWorld® Americas Partner Awards during its 2008 Americas Partner Conference. The conference is designed to provide channel partners with information on the security division’s strategy and vision, product roadmap, and future plans for the channel partner program, as well as offering opportunities to provide feedback and input to RSA.
At the event, RSA recognized its top channel partners in North America for their outstanding performance in 2008 in the following categories: East Channel Partner of the Year, Central Channel Partner of the Year, West Channel Partner of the Year, Canada Channel Partner of the Year, Direct Marketing Reseller (DMR) Channel Partner of the Year, and RSA North America Channel Partner of the Year.
“Our channel partners are a strategic part of RSA’s business and we listen and work with them to create a program that best meets our mutual needs", said Bill Taylor, Senior Director, RSA Global Channels and Alliances. "In 2008, we saw great channel momentum for RSA and its channel partners, and it’s our pleasure to reward and recognize top performers at our annual partner conference because it’s an event designed to inform, motivate and reward them.”
The 2008 RSA SecurWorld Channel Partner Award winners are:
RSA selected Akibia because of its continuous ability to perform. Akiba has consistently been a top ten channel partner in revenue for RSA and has provided customers with all of RSA’s solutions.
“Akibia's success can be directly attributed to its investment in resources and talent to effectively design and implement RSA-based solutions that fit the unique needs of each client”, said Michael Ross, area vice president Americas Channels, RSA. “While supporting RSA's entire product suite, Akibia has seen specific growth with the RSA enVision® platform as enterprise customers realize significant advantages from security information and event management.”
DPSciences has been a top channel partner with RSA for over 10 years, and by investing in sales enablement and training, it has developed a focused security practice around RSA product and service offerings. DPS has successfully sold six channel partner-driven RSA enVision opportunities in 2008, nearly doubled its RSA SecurID® product revenue from 2006 to 2007, and is on track to double their RSA revenue again this year.
“DPS has been instrumental in fostering RSA and EMC channel partner engagements by developing joint call campaigns”, said Anthony D’Angelo, director, Channel Sales, RSA. “These have proven to be extremely successful in facilitating collaboration between our teams and delivering integrated security solutions to our clients.”
NCA has been a top RSA channel partner for 10 years, and is being recognized for recommending RSA’s new products while keeping a focus on its SecurID business. NCA’s technical, marketing and sales teams have engaged the RSA team at all levels, and as a result, were able to grow their total RSA revenue significantly over the past twelve months.
“From leading the way in technical certifications and sales authorizations and keying in on Master Service agreements, NCA is a true partner”, said Ross. “We have launched joint marketing campaigns for multiple products, and they continue to work with the technical teams to ensure their engineers are able to deploy even the most complex solutions.”
Cyberklix has consistently been one of RSA’s strongest channel partners in Ontario and was its highest revenue producer in Canada over the past twelve months. Cyberklix has one of the largest RSA enVision managed services practices in North America, and it has also demonstrated success in selling RSA data security products.
“Cyberklix is a well-balanced organization. They excel in training their staff and are always ready to implement programs and drive demand generation campaigns for RSA products and solutions”, said D’Angelo. “Cyberklix has consistently performed well over the years.”
CDW has demonstrated its ability to perform extremely well for RSA, achieving the top rank among all DMR channel partners over the past twelve months and being the largest contributor of new customers.
“With national coverage and a consistent consultative approach, CDW has become a critical and valued piece of the RSA channel sales model”, said Ross. “They have invested in becoming an expert on the RSA solutions set and consistently position RSA solutions to their expansive customer base. Their success is a direct result of their technically savvy Security Specialist team, their robust relationship with EMC and the ability to collaborate with RSA at both a marketing and sales level.”
Forsythe once again led the RSA channel partner community in revenue over the past twelve months. They continuously message the strategic values of the RSA brand and how RSA technologies help to solve the unique business challenges that customers of all types face. Forsythe has a full spectrum of security services including: advisory, technology selection and implementation services; as well as security education and training. In addition, it also has Qualified Security Assessors on staff and is an Audit Security Vendor to help merchant customers deal with regulations such as PCI and SOX. Forsythe’s integrated security strategy focuses on Data Security and Privacy, Access and Identity Management, Compliance and Standards and Security Program and Audit.
“Forsythe is a thought leader within the security industry and their consultative approach drives strategic solutions for our mutual customers”, said Taylor. “They have made significant commitments to RSA over the past year, and they are able to leverage and deliver the whole Information Risk Management strategy that defines the EMC/RSA marriage.”
The RSA SecurWorld program is structured to enable more channel partners to meet rapidly-growing information security market opportunities.
