EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Leaders” quadrant of the 2008 “Magic Quadrant for Storage Professional and Support Services,”* report. EMC Global Services provides the strategic guidance and technology expertise organizations need to address their business and information infrastructure challenges and derive the maximum value from their information assets and investments.

According to Gartner, Leaders in the quadrant “are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market. Service providers in this quadrant have a strong worldwide presence, provide a broad range of services, invest in innovative service tools and technologies and articulate a clear vision of current and future customer requirements and storage service solutions.”

“We are pleased that the industry experts at Gartner have placed EMC in the Leaders quadrant in the Magic Quadrant report,” said Howard Elias, president of EMC Global Services. “EMC has always been on the leading edge of new storage technologies and has extended that in recent years with our professional services capabilities. Together with our commitment to exceptional total customer experience through service excellence, we continue to drive industry best practices that help customers implement world-class information infrastructures.”
