EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, today unveiled EMC Velocity SMB Partner Program, a worldwide channel program for solution providers serving small and medium businesses (SMBs). The EMC Velocity SMB Partner Program enables, supports, and rewards channel partners selling the new EMC Insignia line of software and hardware products (see separate release) that enable SMBs to store, manage, protect, and share their vital business information.
The EMC Velocity SMB Partner Program offers strong channel support for the EMC Insignia line, including online training modules, dedicated sales support and pre-sales technical assistance, lead referrals, performance-based rebates, and co-op funds. The combination of EMC Insignia products and EMC Velocity SMB gives SMB resellers and solution providers the two elements they need to be successful: software and hardware products that work together effectively to deliver solutions for their customers, and strong manufacturer support to ensure customer satisfaction and business success.
"With the launch of EMC Insignia and the Velocity SMB program, EMC continues to demonstrate its commitment to the channel and SMB resellers," said Pete Peterson, Vice President, Systems Product Marketing at Tech Data. "These products and support program, specifically tailored to the needs of SMB resellers, make it even easier for solution providers to capitalize on the latest storage trends, remain competitive, and grow their businesses."
EMC Velocity SMB is a two-tiered program that gives channel partners the tools to grow their business and build a strong, long term relationship with EMC. The qualification requirements are geared for selling partners that service the SMB market and the benefits are generous.
"EMC Velocity SMB is one-stop-shopping for SMB resellers who want to help their customers cost-effectively store, manage, protect and share their information." said Kevin Klein, President, Three18, Inc. "The combination of the EMC Insignia line of products that are specifically geared to solve critical SMB challenges and a strong channel support program will make it easy for resellers and solution providers to keep customers happy and find new opportunities to grow their business."
"Small and medium businesses are definitely interested in information management and storage, but they want a better way to acquire everything they need and have it integrated within their network infrastructure," said Jim Grass, senior director of technical sales at CDW Corporation. "We're excited by the EMC Insignia products and Velocity SMB program because our engineers can more effectively educate customers on how all the EMC products work together and then provide product and service bundles to make the customized solution easier to purchase and deploy."
The EMC Velocity SMB Partner Program is complementary to the EMC Velocity Partner Program that serves commercial- and enterprise-focused resellers, solution providers, distributors, system integrators, and independent software vendors. Designed so that partners of all types can succeed by working within their preferred business models, the addition of EMC Velocity SMB to the overarching EMC Velocity Partner Program ensures that partners carrying the EMC Insignia line are rewarded for their commitment and investment.
"The EMC Velocity SMB Partner Program extends EMC's firm commitment to building long-term channel relationships," said Larry Zulch, Vice President and General Manager, EMC Insignia, EMC Corporation. "We want to respond to the specific needs of the SMB reseller and solution provider community and help them grow their businesses by arming them with industry-leading storage and information management solutions."
