EMC Signs 50th Partner to EMC Documentum Partner Program

First Program of its Kind to Offer Architectural Guidance and Design Accreditation; Receives Industry-wide Adoption and Demonstrates Unique Value to Customers and Partners

    Barcelona, - May 24, 2005 -

EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage and management, today announced that it has signed its 50th partner to the EMC Documentum Application Logo Program. Additionally, over half of those partners' application and products have received "Designed for Documentum" accreditation on the EMC Documentum 5.3 enterprise content management (ECM) platform—the world's first major ECM offering based on a completely unified architecture.

With the general availability of the Documentum 5.3 platform, partners such as independent software vendors (ISVs), value-added service providers (VSP) and systems integrators (SIs) who have signed onto the Documentum Application Logo Program receive a complete set of tools, services and resources to ensure their customers receive the best product or solution offering possible. Specifically, partners received access to pre-release software, architectural guidance and dedicated technical support of the Documentum 5.3 platform.

"Since we launched our Application Logo Program in April of last year, the number of partners joining our program has exceeded our expectations," said Dave DeWalt, President, EMC Software. "We believe that this not only reinforces us as the leading enterprise content management platform for partner applications, but demonstrates our partners' commitment to provide customers with the highest quality products."

"The Application Logo Program provided us with a clearly-defined certification process, excellent documentation and a dedicated liaison that met with us regularly and answered all our questions," said Nasser Barghouti, CTO, Document Sciences Corporation. "This enabled full integration between our xPression product and the Documentum platform, and has made our partnership one of the most productive we've ever experienced."
