EMC Dantz Retrospect To Support New Mac OS X Tiger Operating System

EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage and management, today announced that the EMC Dantz Retrospect for Macintosh backup and recovery software will support the newly released Mac OS X Tiger operating systems. Today's announcement illustrates EMC's continued commitment to supporting the Apple Macintosh platform with Retrospect backup and recovery software.

On May 5, 2005, EMC will provide an update at no charge for Retrospect 6.0 for Macintosh that supports the Mac OS X Tiger operating system. The new version of Retrospect is required for all customers who move to the new Mac OS X Tiger operating system.

EMC will further enhance Retrospect by supporting two new file system-related features of Mac OS X Tiger: Extended Metadata and Access Control Lists. This future release of Retrospect will also be at no charge to all Retrospect 6.0 customers.
