      How we measure

      To meet our 2030 goals, we must chart a bold path and report our progress with clearly defined metrics. We’ve worked closely with stakeholders to strengthen our capabilities to measure our progress, ensure accountability, and understand where new ways of measuring are needed.

      The name "Progress Made Real" comes from our collective belief that with innovation and action, we can drive tangible, positive change. Here are some recent examples of our work.

      Collaborating for a circular economy

      Working with our recycling and supply chain partners is critical to driving change. We developed a new circular process for recovering rare-earth magnets from recycled hard disk drives coming in to Teleplan and reusing the material in new magnets for new Seagate hard drives.

      Empowering faster diagnosis

      Through our partnership, we continue our work to expand the use of the Translational Genomic Research Institute's leading-edge genomic analysis tools for complex diseases, including cancer and rare childhood disorders.

      Importance of sponsorship

      In 1999, Najuma Atkinson joined Dell Technologies as a front-line tech support manager. In 2019, Najuma was promoted to senior vice president in our Chief Customer Office. Najuma’s career path is an inspiring example of what happens when employees engage, and sponsors listen.

      To underscore our commitment to upholding our customers' right to privacy, we have championed privacy rights in advocating for a U.S. federal privacy law, so that all U.S. consumers would have their privacy rights protected.
