• We are dedicated to diversity inside Dell Technologies, but as one of the largest tech companies in the world, we must also acknowledge and address the overall lack of diversity in technology. Reports show that bias is all too common in today’s workplaces and is one of the factors that impedes diversity. In response to a Deloitte survey, 64% of respondents said in the last year they had either experienced and/or witnessed bias in their workplace. That’s why at Dell Technologies we’re creating an inclusive culture by addressing unconscious bias head-on.

      Our goal is to change the broader narrative of diversity in tech. We partner with nonprofit organizations, customers and peer companies on coalitions, advocacy groups and public policy initiatives to help us scale the diversity and inclusion imperative for maximum impact. We have several programs in place to ensure that a diverse STEM talent pipeline exists, and that incoming talent is prepared with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.

      Strategic initiatives

      We believe an inclusive environment is critical to driving innovation across the globe. Key elements of engaging our team members and partners are through some of our strategic initiatives.

      Many Advocating Real Change (MARC) foundational learning is where team members can examine their own beliefs and grapple with challenging subjects such as unconscious bias, racism, privilege and insider/outsider dynamics openly and honestly in a judgment-free space. One session at a time, we are helping people look at the world through another lens, to learn empathy and to understand what bias means.

      Women in Technology (WIT) is another one of our strategic initiatives which is helping us broaden opportunities for girls and underrepresented minorities thrive within tech careers.

      We strive to create a work environment where differences are valued, and everyone has an opportunity to meet their highest potential. We understand that there are many different dimensions of diversity that define our culture, including race and ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status, and language. In partnership with our Talent Acquisition and UR teams, the Global Diversity and Inclusion team works tirelessly to find and attract the best diverse talent in the world.
